"I need some space"

Yesterday Colin went into the bathroom and closed the door, which is a new development because usually he leaves the door wide open. I wasn't concerned so I went about doing what I was doing.

After a while, I thought I should check on him, make sure he didn't need any help or anything. So I knocked and tried to open the door; it was locked. I called into the bathroom "Do you need any help?".

All I can hear is "I need ...", and I can't understand what else he is saying.

So I tell him that I can't help him if the door is locked. He comes to the door, unlocks it, opens it up and says, "I need some space."
